I landed in Monterrey, Mexico on Friday, December 19th with Michael Mo.  Azyadeh Gutierrez, Cus Fragoso, Paco Hernandez, and Shariff Fernandez were there at the airport to greet us and provide transportation to our Hotel.  On the way to the hotel they took Michael and I to grab a bite to eat.  Being that Michael Mo loves eating Mexican food, they took us to La Casa Del Taco where we met with Agustin Lopez, Cruz Gonzales, and Maika Trigos and had some authentic tacos.  During dinner I asked Paco what areas he needed help with and how Michael and I can help out.

He told me that people in Monterey are very business oriented and that Monterrey is a very industrial city.  There are a lot of professionals here, therefore, they are serious.  He said we needed to teach them how to express themselves.

I said, “Easy enough.”

When we got to hotel, we saw that there was huge banner advertising the Founder’s Weekend against the hotel wall.  Michael asked to shoot some pictures of the banner because it looked fantastic.

Saturday morning came and at 11 am I started my presentation as usual.  I surveyed room to see how many people have lost weight with the use of our products.  There were numerous people that have lost a tremendous amount of weight.  I asked the guests in the room who witnessed this to keep in mind that is something that is not unusual; the response was consistent with every other city that we’ve visited.

This time I skipped the portion of my presentation that has to do with the industry and went straight into talking about the products. I wanted to spend more time on the products since the products we have are so amazing.

I finalized my presentation with a brief overview of our Compensation Plan.  The presentation was a little shorter than the one I did in Puebla, but it still took about 2 hours and 15 minutes due to translations.

I was quite intrigued to find that though still in Mexico, the people in Monterrey were very different from the people in Puebla.  The people here were more observant and intensely listening to the information.  Right after my presentation we took a break for lunch. Again, people came up to me and told me how great the products were and how much they have impacted their lives; from weight loss to increased energy and self confidence.

One lady’s story stood out; she was a downline of Jorge Fernandez here in Monterrey.  Jorge brought up a laptop to show me some x-rays, which I didn’t quite understand.  They were x-rays of a brain showing blood vessels from the neck to the rear lobe of the brain.  I don’t know how to read x-rays or the anatomy but as he continuously was moving through slides, the dark lines that represented the blood vessels were eventually gone.  I don’t know what this lady went through, but she had some sort of surgery on her brain.  Her recovery was slow and arduous, but after a week of taking our products, the dark lines in the x-rays disappeared.

As Michael did his product training, he brought her up to do her testimonial.  She said, “My doctor couldn’t explain it; within a week’s time, with the use of the enzymes that we have, my x-rays show that I have fully recovered; it sped up my recovery time.”

I am profoundly amazed at what our enzymes can do!  Everybody in the room was ecstatic, as everyone in the room that has used our product was in complete agreement of how dramatically everybody’s life has changed, with this testimonial being the most dramatic of all.  Nobody was in the room was doubtful, in fact I didn’t see anyone that wasn’t enthusiastic.

We followed up with a few more testimonials.  There was another lady that stood out. This lady had severe arthritis issues, to the point where some days she can’t even get out of bed.  One day she was trying to make her husband lunch, and it hurt so bad she dropped a dish on the floor.  She said she felt so inadequate because she couldn’t serve her husband food. She ended up staying in bed crying for the rest of the day.  After week of taking products, emphasizing on YOR Repair, she feels normal now and all her pain is gone.  That was very exciting for me.

After Michael’s training and the testimonials, we took a break did some questions and answers.  The questions from Monterrey were different from Puebla, they were geared more towards the business; how to conduct a business, product knowledge, and finance as opposed to spirituality and life as Puebla asked.

We went to dinner later Saturday evening with the local leaders (Azyadeh Gutierrez, Cus Fragoso, Maika Trigos, Paco Hernandez, Agustin Lopez, Ana Gabriela Garcia, Roberto Estrada, Alex Euan, Laura Lozano, Cristina Treviño, Cristina Esteve, Ada Sanchez, David Duran, Concepcion Aguillon, Yatziri Rodriguez, Juan Angel Quintanilla, Pablo Salas, Jorge Fernandez, Gonzalo Lira, Shariff Fernandez, and Alejandra Hess).  We had a very nice talk; they all gave me background on who they were.  It turns out we had 4 dentists there as well as a couple of engineers, a psychologist, and an inventor - all highly educated and industrial people.  It was very intriguing because at least I know they all have the capacity and discipline necessary to focus and execute.  With that kind of asset, there is definitely a different kind of liability because in our business, analytical capacity can be a hindrance because our business has to do with people.  People that are highly educated don’t necessarily understand other people’s perspective.  Michael and I knew that was the direction we had to lead Monterrey.  At dinner, I eventually got to know them a bit more and towards the end of the night, knowing that they lack a little bit of human relationship, on the level that our business requires, I focused on that a little more.

As I was talking to each and everyone of them, I questioned them.  I went around room asking them what they were looking for in the business.  Besides giving me their answer they all volunteered to recognize Paco for impacting their lives.  It was very encouraging for me and Michael to see that Paco has had such an impact on these local leaders.

Juan Angel was the brainiest of all.  He told us a little of his life story, about how he had a hard time meeting girls at young age, and how he flew through academics in school.  Juan barely smiled, his demeanor was serious, as if he were saying “I don’t have time to talk about nonsense, let’s just do the numbers.”  This is typical of people that are just highly analytical.  He is so studious that he actually read a book that studies different ways of meeting girls.  We all laughed, especially when he told us that one technique was to visualize them being 20 ft. away and look through them.  His book also said that out of 2,000 women, 1,990 will reject you and 10 will give you a chance. We all couldn’t stop laughing.  How mechanical; this is typical of the brainy people.  I told him to go through the numbers; 2,000 to get 10 is a weak ratio.  In our business we have to get better ratios than that, therefore we have to focus a little more on touching the human spirit.  In a nutshell, that is Monterrey needs to work on.

The following day we met again at 11:00 am.  I realized that they have to learn how to have better sales technique after listening to Juan’s story about 2,000 tries to get 10 leads, so we switched things up. Instead of doing questions and answers, we did sales technique training.  There was nothing unusual; it was simply the basics - finding common ground to talk about to your potential customers.  And also, what was different and unique about our product line compared to the rest of the world.  We spent about 2 ½ hours on it and I made some of them practice on stage.  I was quite pleased as they caught on quite easily.

We then spent the rest of the day doing a question and answer session.  As I stated before, their questions were along the lines of the business and the products.  Overall, it was quite simple and again people volunteered to recognize Paco for doing such a great job of guiding them.

We ended at 5 pm and everybody went down to the lobby where everybody had their own Org. meetings.  The energy was quite high.  Everyone was very excited because they have a better vision after absorbing the past 2 days worth of information from me and Michael.  We saw the local Org. leaders taking charge.  Michael and I were both pleased to see such passion and energy.

After their Org. meetings we went to Mirai, a hip, modern, Japanese restaurant.  At dinner, along with myself, was Michael Mo, Azyadeh Gutierrez, Cus Fragoso, Paco Hernandez, Alex Euan, Laura Lozano, David Duran, Ada Sanchez, Pablo Salas, Jorge Fernandez, Gonzalo Lira, and Shariff Fernandez.  There wasn’t much business talking going on, this was more of a social dinner and everybody was very relaxed.  They all had the sense that they are on the right track.

We got back together around 10 pm in a private conference room at our hotel.  Azyadeh Gutierrez, Cus Fragoso, Paco Hernandez, Alex Euan, Laura Lozano, David Duran, Ada Sanchez, Pablo Salas, Jorge Fernandez, Gonzalo Lira, and Shariff Fernandez were among the leaders at this meeting to summarize the weekend’s event. Out of the meeting, one topic came out, which was Alex asking Laura for her hand in marriage; of course, Laura accepted.  I was happy to hear that Alex did this at our event because he had so much respect for our company that it was appropriate to do so in front of us.

In our summary we spoke about how to execute our business.  We talked about how Laura graduated from Tampico and how she had developed 2 legs there, but her plans were to come home to Monterrey to stay with her mom and dad, and now marry Alex.  I asked her, “What are your priorities?”

She said, “I want to be financially strong and not worry about money anymore.”

So I questioned her as to how she would do that by moving to Monterrey and leaving her team by themselves.  She didn’t have answer, just that her mom and dad want her home.

I said to her, “I’m not objecting to that, but how are you going to make sure that your team will sustain if you’re so far away?”

Again she couldn’t answer the question.  This is a good example of how people don’t understand the business.  A lot of the time we take for granted a new team we have, especially a matching team, and we abandon them.  I told her that when I first learned this business, I learned that if you want to be successful, your team is your highest priority.  Your team will give you your financial future, your choices in life, and the free time you wanted.  You could spend time with your mother and father and have time to spend with your new family, but you have to choose what you want to do.  The key to our business is always our team.  Whoever has the biggest team with the most legs wins, and that takes some sacrifice.  In the room that night I think everybody got the message.

I guess for Monterrey and Latin America, they really have to learn what “team” really means to our business.  Team for us in YOR Health is EVERYTHING.  I believe Paco got the message and so did his team.  Last I heard, Laura decided to stay in Tampico to build her team, but that’s her choice.  All in all, we met a lot of new friends and had a great time in Monterrey.
