For years I’ve told everybody that I hate packing, it’s such a cumbersome task for me.  Well I finally got packed, put my suitcase in my media-room and fell asleep watching TV.  In the middle of the night I woke up and while I was walking to my bedroom, I stubbed my foot into my suitcase.  Man did it hurt! I thought I broke my toe.  I was really concerned because it hurt really badly so I loaded up with about five YOR Repair capsules.   When I got up in morning, my feet were still hurting and swollen.  I could barely walk; I was limping, and I loaded up with six YOR Repair capsules. I got on plane and met Michael Mo at our connecting flight in Houston.  We landed in Puebla and at the baggage claim I was amazingly surprised because my foot wasn’t hurting anymore.  I was bragging to them how great the repair worked for me.

Azya Gutierrez, Cus Fragoso, Jorge Fernandez, and Shariff Fernandez then took us to a local Mexican restaurant and we had an unbelievable feast.  Usually, eating hot, spicy Mexican food leaves me with some indigestion, but I was excited to test out our Digestive Enzymes and see what it really does.  It was a battle between our product and authentic Mexican food.

At dinner we were all just having a good time; laughing and talking about the richness of Mexican food and how delicious everything was.  I was delighted to find that I didn’t get heartburn and the food digested as it should have; I felt normal…how exciting.

After dinner we went our hotel, the Holiday Inn Finsa in Puebla.  The hotel was surprisingly quite modern with great architecture.  Both Michael and I had Junior Suites.  The rooms were very large and luxurious, but the funny thing is that both Michael and I prefer smaller rooms.  The bathroom itself was larger than the usual hotel rooms that we were used to. The rooms were so big that I can barely see the TV screen even though it was this huge plasma on the wall.  I don’t know about Michael but I’m not the fearless leader that everybody thinks that I am…I’m still afraid of the dark hahaha!  Nonetheless, it was a very nice room.

On Saturday morning we started event at 10:30 am.  The venue was a large presentation room with two big screens and a huge stage that was very nicely decorated with banners promoting the products.  The set up was very grand; I have to say, besides NY, this was the best set up I’ve seen.  Cus, Azya, Paco Hernandez, Jorge Fernandez, Adan Rodriguez, Shariff Fernandez, Gonzalo Lira, Paulina Vera, Luis Valdez, Carolina Bolaños, and Pablo Salas were very gracious to have us there and they did a great job of planning the event.

As I stood on the stage I looked across the room, the faces were very different from those we usually see in America.  There was a full spectrum of ages from 18 – mid 60s with a good mixture of single and married men and women.

Everybody was very attentive and I could tell that they were eager to hear the presentation because they were all silent, giving me their complete attention.  I surveyed the room to see how many non-English speaking people were in attendance.  I found that 60% of the people in the room didn’t speak English, yet they were here, eager to listen and learn. Even with the slight communication barrier we were still able to capture their attention.  The presentation took a bit longer than usual because of the translations, it was about 2 ½ hours.  I must thank Azya for doing such a great job translating for us.

After the presentation a few gentlemen came up to me and said thanks for the products.  One told me he lost 15 kg (approx. 33 lbs) and another said he lost 10 kg (approx. 22 lbs).  Both of them told me, like many others, that they were skeptical at first, but now they were believers.  They both expressed how happy they were that we were there to share this opportunity and the products among their fellow Latin Americans.

We then took a lunch break and when we came back Michael did an incredible product training.  Everyone was at full attention during the product training. Even I sat there and took notes because I knew that Michael spent a lot of time reviewing Dr. Fuller’s notes, books, and product catalog on the plane.

Once Michael was done with the training, people lined up to buy the products.  Paco told me that about seven former Distributors have been nimble and came back with pure excitement asking him how they could get started in the business again; he was thrilled.  On top of that all the new products that were brought over for the event was completely sold out.

Being that we are still getting to know our Distributor base in Latin America we moved into a question and answer session.  Michael and I opened up the floor and allowed five people to speak on any topic they wanted to speak on and ask us a few questions.  It was funny how each one of them first made a statement about how thankful they were for the products (Essential Vitamin, MRP, and CompleteBurn) and what they have had done for them.  Then they asked questions regarding life and how to become better people.  It was amusing; the topics weren’t about how to be better salesmen, unlike the questions asked by the American Distributors; the questions were geared towards how someone can be as successful as Michael and me and be so humble.

The following day we started the event at 11:00 am and surprisingly approximately 85% of the people came back.  One lady in particular was super excited, she sounded like she was already a full fledged Distributor, yet as the conversation continued, we came to find that Saturday’s event was the first time she had been introduced to the Company.  She commented that she was a guest and that she was moved by the product testimonials of some of the people in the room and by the way that Michael and I conducted ourselves.  She told us that we can count on her and at that moment she bought a Distributor package.

As the day went on, we discovered that there were at least 6 doctors in the room (two of which are General Practitioners and two are Geneticists).  Each of them gave testimonials of what the products had done for them personally and for their patients.

Again, a majority of time the questions that were brought up were about life.  I can not specifically pinpoint exactly what I said to make them ask these questions, but I guess I came into this event as I do every event…I opened up myself whole heartedly and shared my experiences in life, what I’ve been through.  Maybe that’s the reason that we were having these discussions.  There were people that were so humbled by our business and how we are helping Latin Americans take care of their health and wellness that some were crying as they were speaking.  They were so touched by how much weight they have lost, how they have better energy and a better perspective of how to become a better business person.

Most people might think that having other people coming into a big room and crying is a sad situation, but I consider it a success because very seldom do people share there true feelings.  I believe they do this because they feel safe with us.  As a matter of fact, each time person came up crying and sharing stories they said they were happy tears.

Both Michael and I agree, Azya, Cus and their team did an excellent job for these people that are curious to learn about the Company. All together, the event brought this feeling of enlightenment, of more hope in this bad economy; after all, Mexico’s currency is worth 40% less after the global financial meltdown.

We were scheduled to end at 4 p.m. but the questions did not end. People didn’t want to leave so we answered a few more questions, but had to close by 4:30.  Right after event Azya Cus, Shariff, Paco, Pablo, Jorge, and Gonzalo joined Michael and me on the mezzanine where we held a conference to summarize the event.  Michael started the meeting by saying everything was done well and we had a great event, but the real event starts now.  After having a chance to review their local teams Michael was able to get a better idea of where they were in the business and tell each and every one of them what protocols they needed to work on.

I know for sure that their attendance at the Emerald Escape the week before the Puebla event helped create a special bond between myself, Michael Mo, and their team.  Their confidence has increased, and we scheduled two dates next year to return to Puebla.  The leaders are very excited and had very successful event.  Good job Azya, Cus & team.
